(Turnarounds at Mile 3.5 and Mile 10)
"Course was well marked. Definitely would recommend this as an easier, "non-urban" trail beginner event, just know shade is limited" - Rebecca W.
"Palmer Lake is one of the hidden jewels of the series. I should warn you it is early in the season which makes the weather unpredictable. It could be cold and snowy or hot and sunny on any given day. Which is a BIG DEAL with very little to no cover on this course. The race starts in the park by Palmer Lake and makes its way to the Santa Fe Trail, and Greenland Open Space, where this portion of the trail is rolling with more up than down, but believe me when you get to the turn around you will be glad you did, as you head back to the park you get to run back and face Pikes Peak in all its glory with the added bonus of more downhill than up, so enjoy the view and breeze on back to the lake." - Tom C.
(Aid Stations are spaced out by 3-5 miles on Avg, be prepared)
